Our pharmacy graduate programs cover a diverse array of research topics, including but not limited to pharmacoeconomics, pharmacoepidemiology, pharmaceutical and cannabis policy. The Graduate Program in Life Sciences at UMB also provides a novel and interactive research ethics training program. Career development opportunities include: an alumni careers seminar series, workshops on grant writing, publication submissions, effectively presenting your research, developing a CV, interviewing and negotiation skills, and how to differentiate yourself in the marketplace. 

Career Services in the School of Pharmacy Office of Graduate Programs (UMSOPOGP) serves students in MS and PhD programs. Nina Roa, MPA, associate director for career development and placement, offers resume, CV and cover letter writing support, job search strategies and resources, and interview prep sessions.

    Graduate programs are independent of departments and consist of faculty in the basic science and clinical departments of the School of Medicine, School of Dentistry, School of Nursing, and a wide array of internationally recognized organized research centers and institutes on campus including the Center for Vaccine Development, the Center for Vascular and Inflammatory Diseases, the Institute for Genome Science, the Maryland Psychiatric Research Center, and the Institute of Human Virology, in addition to collaborations with the other University of Maryland campuses.
