Bio

Academic Coordinator and Assistant Professor, UMB Physician Assistant Program

Jeanine Gargiulo has worked as a clinical PA in orthopedics since 2008. She earned both her Bachelor of Health Science and Master of Physician Assistant Science degrees from Saint Francis University. During her clinical career, Jeanine has participated in orthopedic clinical research in collaboration with the Anderson Orthopaedic Research Institute.

Committed to service, she is an active volunteer with Operation Walk Virginia and has participated in multiple international healthcare partnership trips providing hip and knee replacement surgery to underserved patient populations. Jeanine has lectured at both the state and national levels and enjoys leading hands-on skills workshops for fellow healthcare professionals.

Her passion for education led her to complete a Doctor of Medical Science certificate in PA Education from the University of Lynchburg in 2021. She is currently pursuing a PhD in Health Professions Education, with research focused on clinical-year PA students who participate in global health electives. Outside of work, Jeanine enjoys traveling, fostering dogs, and volunteering with her rescue pup to provide therapy dog visits in her local community.
