Julie Rosen, PhD, is the inaugural Director of Strategic Initiatives at the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS). Prior to her role at AAAS, Dr. Rosen was the Executive Director of Medical Research and Scientific Publications at the University of Maryland School of Medicine. After earning her PhD in Molecular and Cell Biology at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences (USUHS), Dr. Rosen worked as a technical writer & editor for the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), National Institutes of Health (NIH).
