PA Program Innovation, Faculty Leadership, and Learning Symposium

The 2025 Symposium is scheduled for March 14th, 2025. Moderated by Prof John G. McGinnity, MS, PA-C, DFAAPA

Our third annual symposium on PA Program Innovation, Faculty Leadership, and Learning Strategies is scheduled on Friday, March 15, 2024. Led by industry experts, this half-day, virtual, event is designed to provide insights into best practices and strategic leadership frameworks for enhancing the quality of PA education today. The key theme of the symposium will be accreditation.

2025 Symposium Agenda

9:10-9:55am | Scott Massey, PhD, PA-C

By the end of this session, leaders and PA educators will be able to:

  1. Describe the major revisions in the ARC-PA standards from the 5th edition to the 6th edition, including new requirements and clarified expectations.
  2. Outline the significant changes introduced in the ARC-PA 6th edition standards, emphasizing new requirements and clarifications.
  3. Contrast the 5th and 6th edition standards to highlight shifts in priorities and expectations for PA programs.

By the end of this session, leaders and PA educators will be able to:

  1. Recognize the potential of AI tools to streamline accreditation and self-study processes in PA education.
  2. Identify AI solutions that can assist in organizing and synthesizing data for self-study reports and continuous quality improvement.
  3. Explore emerging AI technologies that may further streamline accreditation efforts and improve the quality of self-study documentation.
  4. Examine current accreditation practices using a worked example
